Happy Thanksgiving to all my fitness friends!
Whether you are traveling, staying put, stuffing a turkey, or eating tofu, I hope that you are able to fully enjoy!
It may sound cliché, but I am so grateful this year, as I am sure you are too. Every night as I lay my daughter down to bed, and we say her prayers, I praise God for all that he has given us. I ask to see the hurt He wants me to see, serve those in need that He thinks needs my help, equip me to be the kind of wife and mom Jake and Georgia need, and to not waste any of the precious and fleeting time I have here. I am thankful for health, for a home, a wonderful community, a fridge full of food, good friends, wonderful family, and the freedom to pursue our dreams and dare to become the people that God has designed us to be.
In an hour I am heading out for a Thanksgiving run with friends, and I recognize that working out is a privilege. I am also so grateful fo this. As soon as you can’t do it, you realize what a gift it is and become so grateful for your ability to move and feel strong.
This weekend is going to be filled with visitors, stopping in to see old friends, cooking (trying to!), good wine, Christmas trees, church, boot camps, Christmas music, pumpkin pie, parade watching, laughs, and hugs. In my opinion, it doesn’t get any better than this!
As we enter the holiday season I wish you all the best in love, health, hope, and happiness.
God Bless and Cheers Fitness Family!
