Tuesday Tabata Workout!

Tabata training was introduced to me about 4 years ago at a fitness convention. I remember thinking…20 seconds, big deal. Whoa was I wrong! That class kicked my butt, and change my approach to fitness.

Tabata is a form of HIIT that was studied in 1996 by Izumi Tabata with Olympic speed skaters. Read more about HIIT and its benefits here!

Liz is going to demo each move on the video.
First she will demo 4 exercise for the first tabata series that are a great way to get your heart rate up. Another great way is to keep it simple and just run! Remember to do this 8 times before moving onto the second exercise.

Next, she will demonstrate exercises # 2-4, 1 time each. Again, before you move from number 2 to number 3, do the exercise for 20 seconds with a 10 second recovery, 8 times through (4 minutes total!)
If you do it right, this workout is all you need for today!

I find it hard to believe that there isn’t something out there that can’t motivate you to work harder, be consistent, and make better choices. Just take some time and try to figure out what your something is! Once you do, you’ll be unstoppable!
