Try it Thursday: 5 Minute Meal, Workout, and Meditation!

Let’s get real. I would love to cook a beautiful meal every night…but that rarely happens. I would love to workout for an hour every morning…but that does’t always happen. I would love to sit, kick my feet up, relax, pray, and meditate for an hour every afternoon…but that hardly happens! But…I ALWAYS have 5 minutes! And so do you, so no excuses to eat right, move your body, and take some time to tend to your spirit!

This 5-minute meal was pretty tasty!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Chicken sausage (I like Trader Joe’s Smoked Apple Chardonnay) Saute in pan with coconut oil. Then add,
Onion and bell peppers, and lastly throw in,
Kale and spinach mix and cook until wilted.
Ta Da! A little sea salt and pepper to taste and you are good to go!5 min mealThere are those days…they are crazy, but that is life. Even on those days, I am a firm believer that you can do something! This workout can be done in the airport, in your living room, in your office, or even as a bonus workout after your sweat session for a little-added burn. It’s only 5 minutes and I KNOW it will be worth it!5 minute workoutI love starting my day with a quiet time…ending it with a quiet time…or setting some time aside in the parking lot before I walk into work. I love this habitude as it refocuses me, calms me, and keeps my heart and mind on the goodness I strive to focus on. Yes, my intentions are good. Buuuutttt…I can easily get busy, distracted, or just forget. However, I always have 5 minutes. So whether it’s while walking the dog, sitting and nursing my baby, or in the car, I can use my time to think, pray, and meditate. If you have 5 minutes like this, you can too!

Follow this guide, and focus on breath, thanksgiving, and a daily mantra. (I often use Bible verses, inspiring quotes, or short prayers as my mantra.
