Try it Thursday: Citrus!

It is a great time of year to snack on citrus! Grapefruit, oranges, clementines, lemons, limes, kumquats, and tangelos! ‘Tis the season to be eating up these delicious and nutritious fruits.

Taste alone is not the only reason you should consume citrus. Some of the health benefits include:
Protecting against stroke.
Slowing down cancer cell growth and tumor progression.
Decreases plaque formation in the arteries and increases blood flow.
This article speaks to the fact that oranges may be the healthiest food we can consume! Bring on the vitamin C!

This could be the pregnancy talking, but I cannot get enough citrus right now! Peeling a Cutie or slicing a grapefruit is the easy way to eat these fruits. However, using them creatively in the kitchen can help mix things up for maximum enjoyment!
