Fall is beautiful, and Halloween can be a blast. With the beauty, festivities, and tempting Halloween treats, let’s take the opportunity to kick it up a notch with our workouts!
Here is a simple Halloween inspired HIIT workout that you can do in the living room, in a park, in a hotel, or before Trick-or-Treating! Add this quick routine to your day before or after work in addition to your normal routine and earn that peanut butter cup!
Complete each exercise for 30 seconds with a 15 second recovery between each move.
Stand with your legs together and arms extended.
Step and kick the opposite leg straight up.
Try to touch your toe with your hands then return as you walk forward (or stay in place if space is limited.)
Repeat, alternating sides with each step!
Start on the ground in a full push-up position. Your body should form a straight line from head to toe.
Regression: Do this move from your knees.
Next, bring your bent left knee out to side at hip level as you bend elbows to 90 degrees, keeping arms tucked close to ribs, so that right knee and elbow touch.
Press up and back to starting position.
Squat down…channel your inner creepy tactics to see how low you can go.
Keep your hips back so that knees do not go over the toes, back is straight and not hunched.
Immediately jump up into the air to execute your leap, extending out arms and legs.
Regression: Do not perform the jump and keep feet on the floor at all times.
Perform all 3 exercises for 30 seconds each, 3 times through.
Pair with some HITT and you can call it a day!
